The Korero team has expanded with the appointment of two new team members after securing contracts totalling more than £100,000.

The company provides public relations and marketing support to clients ranging from FTSE 100 companies to start-ups within the energy, technology, hospitality, and third sector in the UK, Europe and North America, including Aberdeen, London, Calgary, and the Netherlands. It has recently won new contracts with Camphill Estates which works in partnership with Camphill School Aberdeen and four other charities to support children and young people with learning difficulties, as well as contracts with two other oil and gas service companies.

As part of an ongoing growth drive, Korero has appointed Liam Simpson as a Digital Marketing Coordinator and Emily Findlay as a Senior Account Executive.

Korero’s Director, Alison Cran, said: “We are very grateful to all of our clients who continued to partner with us during such uncertain times. We are committed to building long-term, flexible partnerships with our clients and the benefits of that approach for both sides have been demonstrated – especially over the last 18 months.

“As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, it is clear that companies want to be on the front foot with their marketing and I’m pleased to welcome Liam and Emily to the team. They will ensure we can support clients to achieve their growth ambitions while also expanding our service particularly within digital marketing. The combination of their skill sets broadens our in-house capability and they will play an important part of Korero’s continued growth.”

Liam joins from a leading healthcare company where he was the Marketing Coordinator for the past three years, during a period of enormous growth for the business. He supported that growth through a high volume of digital marketing, in-store marketing and support, as well as creating national campaigns and content designed to capture the company’s brand.

Liam added: “I’m delighted to join the Korero team as the new Digital Marketing Coordinator. It’s an exciting time to be at Korero and I am really looking forward to being a part of this growing team, providing quality digital marketing support for all of our clients.”

Emily has been a key player in promoting city charities, most recently having worked for The Archie Foundation. She has also played a central role in the running of Celebrate Aberdeen and runs a highly successful annual supercar charity event. In 2018 she was awarded a BEM from Her Majesty, The Queen for services to Cancer Awareness and Charity in Orkney and the North of Scotland.

She said: “I am excited to get stuck into the role and work with Korero’s diverse range of clients. Joining Korero allows me to bring my breadth of experience to a wider mix of clients and I’m really looking forward to delivering some great campaigns over the coming months.”

Korero was established by in 2014 by Alison and specialises in shaping and sharing organisations’ unique stories across media, social media, digital and other channels. The office is based in Queen’s Road, Aberdeen and has a team of five.
